Discipline?

Last night, Leigh dumped out all of her hairbows on the floor and exclaimed, "Leigh made mess!" When I asked her to pick it up, she said, "No--Time Out!"
Clearly full of remorse on the Time Out step, she looked up and shouted "Cheese!" as soon as she saw the camera. We may have to resort to another disciplinary action...

Christmas Date

Last night Aunt Lynn & I took Hunter on a Christmas date that started with a ride through the Tanglewood Festival of Lights.

After a wonderful dinner in Winston-Salem, Hunter and I hunkered down for an evening at his favorite resort, The Embassy Suites. They must have been overbooked, because they put us in one of the business suites, complete with a large meeting table, kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. Hunter was all agog at our fancy suite. After breakfast the next morning, we were off to a Christmas store where Hunter picked out special Christmas ornaments for all of his favorite peeps.

Thou Shalt Not Covet Bitty Baby

Jackie made it clear that she wanted Hunter to give her blond-haired, blue-eyed Bitty Baby for her 5th birthday. So when this came to pass, she was beside herself with glee. However, we quickly realized that she wasn't the only one who loved Bitty Baby. Leigh was extremely taken with this baby, and did her best to sneak her away every chance she got. Maybe she'll even get a Bitty Baby of her own for her 2nd birthday, if she's a good girl...

Jackie Turns 5, Part 1

The Big Event last week was Jackie's 5th birthday. We got to be a part of the family celebration on her real birthday, as well as the Pump It Up bash over the weekend. As always, the kids loved having their way with a big piece of cake, and were thrilled to top it off with popsicles and a little Ring-A-Round-The-Rosie.

Jackie Turns 5, Part 2

The Real Birthday Party for Jackie's 5th was a huge bash at Pump It Up. Everyone had a blast jumping around, eating princess birthday cake, and taking turns in the Birthday Chair.

Is It The Virgin Mary?

...or just Baby Leigh being creative with her shirt?

Turkish Party

Today was Turkish Party day! Serpil treated us to a special Turkish meal of couscous salad and delicious Turkish bread.
Jackie wasn't so sure about the Turkish fare...

...but we all got a kick out of meeting Serpil's family on the webcam, live from Turkey! It was 9:00 pm at their house while we were eating lunch during the afternoon.

After lunch, the girls enjoyed a Sunday afternoon viewing of Tinkerbell. Hunter, Miss Allie, & I endured it while waiting for the brownies to come out of the oven.

The Last Soccer Game

Hunter had his last soccer game of the season this past weekend. After the game, he and his teammates were surprised with trophies and personalized soccer ball cookies. He was thrilled with both of these, and his first trophy is now proudly on display in his room.

Surprise, Uncle Rusty!

Last weekend Cindy had a surprise birthday party for Rusty's 50th birthday. It was a huge bash down in Oriental, NC, complete with live band and plenty of libations for everyone. He was very surprised, thrilled, even speechless. This was the first grown-up party for Hunter & Leigh, who also had big fun.
