Fun - Sun - Sand
We had a great week at the beach that consisted of building sand castles at sunset, fishing, crabbing, and relaxing. Hunter and Leigh are great castles builders, but liked tearing them down even better. The cousin-babies (Becca, Bennett, Michael, Blake, and Will) are great with the children and helped us entertain them all week.

50th Wedding Anniversary

Happy 50th Anniversary!
We celebrated Nanny & Grandaddy's 50 year wedding anniversary this week. Billy and Susan treated us all to some terrific steamed oysters, boiled shrimp, and an anniversary cake. I have learned a lot watching these two. They have long since stopped worrying about the small things and focused on the things that matter......family and friends. Congratulation and thanks to you guys!
Although the concept of anniversary is foreign to Baby Leigh, you can bet she was on the same page when it came time to serving cake. Hunter was savvy enough to slip a few undetected finger swipes of icing before it was time to serve cake. Don't worry Leigh, that kind of advanced move will come with age.
Baby Leigh is ready to drive.... "Can I get some help with these peddles?"

Fourth of July Celebration

Fourth of July was big fun for all. After a neighborhood bike/wagon decorating party, the kids had a parade around our cul-de-sac before moving on to the pool party--where there was plenty of fun, food, & fireworks. Hunter prefers his baseball helmet to his bike helmet, probably because it is so stylish & lightweight. Everyone had a great time!
Baby Leigh joined in on the fun as a flag bearer. Hunter deep in thought "should I cleanse my palate with sorbet prior to tasting my 3rd brownie". Life is tough.
We ended the evening with a round of fireworks. Most of the kids weren't entirely sure how fun this was. With each progressive blast, they scooted farther and farther back lest they "get burned."

Welcome and Come Again!
Hello! Our goods friends from APaulogy (AKA Allison & Dave) led the way in creating a terrific blog. Since we can't stop the clock from ticking nor our little ones from growing, we decided to follow suit and create a blog that will allow our friends and family to be a part of it all. We will try to have new postings every 2- 3 days.
