Fun With Nana & Papa

Nana and Papa visited us over the weekend before Christmas. We all had a wonderful time, and the kids LOVED having special time with Nana and Papa.

Merry Christmas from Nana & Papa

Hunter and Leigh had a huge Christmas from Nana and Papa--Hunter got a big boy bike while Leigh raked up nearly the entire Bitty Baby clothing and accessory collection.

Making Cookies with Nana and Papa

During their visit, Nana was in charge of making gingerbread cookies with the local baking team. Hunter's and Jackie's major contribution --per their usual--was eating icing, while Leigh ate a quart of strawberries under Papa's direction.

School Christmas Party

Hunter and his classmates treated us to a rendition of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and a poem about Christmas trees at the Pinewoods Christmas party. I had begun to wonder if he had practiced too much when he sang Rudolph in its entirety the other night in his sleep, but all that hard work seemed to pay off during the big performance.

Christmas Kazoom!

Deane and Rita took the little ones to Kazoom! for the Christmas show last week. I'm told that both of them LOVED it, and apparently have no issues with stage fright.

Santa Train

Because Deane was the first one on the phone when sales opened up, we were able to get tickets to the Santa Train. Even though it was a little chilly, the kids loved our ride up to the North Pole. They were especially excited to get candy canes from Mrs. Claus and for a little one-on-one time with the Big Man in the red suit.

Wee Trees

We had a tree decorating party one day over the holidays. The kids each got to decorate their very own Christmas tree. Although a great idea in theory, it ended up being a decorating mission for Serpil and Dee--while the kids did their own thing. Fortunately, Serpil and Dee are good sports and had a good time anyway.

Sugarplum Fairies?

The holidays have been a perfect time for Jackie to practice her ballet--and baby brother Baryshnikov has been the perfect dance partner.

Baby Leigh Turns 2!

Leigh turned 2 last week, which we celebrated with good buddies, barbeque, Barbie birthday cake, and Bitty Baby from Nana & Papa! We all had a great time, especially Hunter & Jackie who "helped" Leigh open her presents. Leigh thoroughly loved being the Birthday Girl, as you might note from the 5 different outfits she wore during the 2-hour event.
