Uncle Charles and Aunt Pam

During their visit with Nanny & Grandaddy, Uncle Charles and Aunt Pam took a night out to join us for a quick shrimp boil.Maybe it was the remarkable resemblance to Grandaddy, or maybe it was just that he's lots of fun, but Leigh thought Uncle Charles was The Bomb. Gone Fishing

This afternoon we took the kids fishing, and I'll warn you now: I got carried away with pictures. I just couldn't help myself. The lake was so beautiful, and the kids were so precious fishing with each other, and listening intently to their fishing lessons from Deane & Chad. Really, see for yourself.

Cheshire Cat

Daniel's birthday this weekend was a big hit, as it was double-packed with the fun of balloon animals and face painting. Hunter proudly sported his Dragon Cheek, while Leigh let Robbie have a glimpse of her balloon kitty-cat. And here is Leigh, before her transformation, and after:
This may well be my favorite face-painting of one of my kids, of all time. And believe me, we have painted our faces a lot.

Honk If You Love T-Ball

T-ball is quickly turning out to be Hunter (& Daddy's) sport of choice.
During this game, Leigh managed to find something entertaining in the woods behind the bleachers...

...before deciding it was time to put on Jackie's Mrs. Claus suit from three Christmases ago. Afterall, there's nothing like the bitter chill of an April afternoon in Durham.

Hunter was thrilled to be playing this game with his kindergarten buddy, Joe. And here, an ever-so-rare, albeit brief, display of sibling love.
