Farmer's Market

The entrepreneurial Bigs agreed that setting up a vegetable stand in the driveway was the perfect way to capitalize on the fruits of our labor from the MessiPaul gardens.
Closer inspection of this advertising reveals that a mere quarter would buy you a rocking home-grown squash or cucumber.
Realizing that business was a little slow on this Sunday afternoon, attention turned to Hunter's loose tooth, which has amazingly hung on to a shred of gum for weeks.

She's All That

So when asked to choose any shirt in Old Navy that she wants, Missy Thang chose the Girls Rule the School super-hero T-shirt. And there you have it!

The Fancy House

We had the good fortune of joining Miss Karen and Mr. Bill for dinner at their fancy house this week! We say it's fancy because it is highly accessorized and houses hundreds of collectibles that 3-year-old hands could transform into worthless china fragments in the blink of an eye.

Fortunately, Miss Karen and Mr. Bill also have plenty of TVs, so the Wild Ones were quite content to catch up on iCarly while the grown-ups visited.

"NO, Leigh--don't touch that!!"

And, of course, there was plenty of time for some good lovin' on our gracious host and hostess...

Daddy-Loving

This Father's Day, the kids hand-picked their cards for Daddy, and even made him a special treat or two.
Hunter really did his Daddy right on this occasion: a handmade custom target, and $10 of his own money!

Confessions of A Delinquent Blogger

If it seems like there were no posts on this blog for 3 months, and then there were about 20 posts all of a sudden, don't enroll in the dementia study at the nearest family practice clinic. I did indeed skip 3 months of posting, and I did just post about 20 entries.

Those of you who know me well can't be surprised. Not only did I fail to make the latest Time Management Seminar offered in the Triangle, but I also have a DSL connection speed that rivals that of the oil spill clean-up. Because it takes me over 2 hours to post a single entry from my house, I generally batch these while I'm at Nanny's, who has blazing Roadrunner cable speed. Although I would like to blame my negligence on Nanny somehow, we all know that everything that goes awry in my life is Chad's fault.

That being said, I will commit to you that I will try harder to post more regularly than once per quarter. And if I fail to come through, rest assured I will blame it on Chad.

Saturday at the Depot

Although Burlington is arguably the DisneyWorld of NC, occasionally we have to hunt for new things to do with the kids while visiting Nanny. This Saturday was one of those occasions. Visiting the Burlington Depot sounded like fun, but we quickly realized that statues of townspeople in funny hats would only take us so far before we had to go to Plan B--The Dollar Store.

The night of Blake's graduation was also Nanny & Grandaddy's 52nd Anniversary, so there were lots of reasons to celebrate!
