Vertical Heights

Thinking that climbing would be a nice change of pace from swimming, we took the crew to Vertical Heights for a little adventure.

Watching DaddyO scale to the top of this wall was inspiration for Hunter & Leigh to give it a whirl.

Of course, from Leigh's perspective, there's no better place or time to do the Funky Chicken. 

Although a little tentative at first, a Spiderman inflatable and promise of Diet Coke was sufficient incentive for Hunter to reach the top.

Pizza at the Pool

We've kicked off our summer in high-style having pizza at the pool on Friday nights, which makes for a lot of fun for all of us, big & small.

Leigh's New Do

After the second round of Leigh cutting her own hair, I decided it was time to take her to Bella Trio for a  real hair-cut--no less than a bob. After being at the pool 4 straight days without a real shower, it didn't take Miss Stephanie long to realize that a good shampoo and de-tangling was in order. 

This Salon Princess loved getting pampered, and was happy as could be to see her locks cut off.

And we were all thrilled with the results!

Grown-Ups

The last time I can remember dressing up and going out with other grown-ups was with Allison & Dave on New Years Eve years ago. Allison was pregnant with Cameron, and Leigh was not even a conceptus. So I'm not kidding when I say it's been a while since I've felt like a grown-up in a cocktail dress. Thanks to Allison's good fortune & timing, we landed a seat at the table at an uptown event at the NC Museum of Life & Science, which involved plenty of drink (if not food), and lots of fun with our neighbors. Here's hoping for another night out soon!!
