Happy Birthday, Mommy!

It's that time of year again, and with every passing year, I'm ever-mindful and more grateful that I'm still here. It just keeps getting better & better!

Myrtle Beach Days

As usual, our annual trip to the Redneck Riviera didn't disappoint. This year was full of candy, saltwater, candy, sun & sand, swimming, candy, and mechanical bulls.

A Bad Idea

So I'll concede that going to Wet & Wild the day before July 4th may have constituted poor planning. Although I was convinced everyone would be at Myrtle Beach at this festive time, it was quickly apparent that the majority had stopped in Greensboro for a little water fun on the way.

Don't let Chad's expression trick you into believing he was anything less than ecstatic to share this day with 10,000 of NC's finest, thinnest, smartest, and least-tattooed residents.

Oh well, at least it was good for a peaceful ride home...

Giddy-Up

We celebrated Cameron's 5th birthday this year at Deadbroke Farms, which was a rip-roaring, pony-riding great time for the kids and adults alike!

Little Tarheels

Although Hunter has convinced himself he's a Duke fan, we made some headway in converting him into a Tarheel by signing him up for UNC Baseball Summer Camp. Deep in the heart of the UNC campus, this is the Real Deal, taught by the UNC baseball players themselves, on none other than the UNC baseball diamond.

I had no idea who these coaches were, but believed strongly that they were picture-worthy.

While I didn't doubt these warm-up maneuvers were critical to building baseball skills, it looked like Skip-To-My-Lou to me.
