Seafood Festival

We spent the day at the NC Seafood Festival. After getting a glimpse of the crabcakes, rides, and games to be had, it was quickly apparent that the NC State Fair ain't got nothin' on this grand event.

Not concerned at all about the big kids riding the big rides, Leigh had a ball on the kiddie rides. This baby girl doesn't need anything to be happy but herself.

Fall Getaway

After a long month back at school, the kids couldn't wait to recapture a taste of summer and head back down to the beach.

Harris Lake

For a change of pace this weekend, we hired a fishing guide to help us catch some fish out on Harris Lake.

Leigh managed to take a brief moment out of her fishing schedule to model for the camera. Afterall, every minute is an opportunity to model.

  Although tickled pink with her Catch of the Day, 

I believe Leigh was just as happy with this minnow.

While Hunter focused on the task at hand, Leigh decided that playing Glee music on the iPhone would be more interesting.

Horsing Around

We had quite the entertaining dinner out with our buddies who live at the Bright Star Ranch. 

Before we had our dinner, Leigh and Mr. Chad helped Mr. Brad and Leah feed the horses their dinner.

While Leigh did time in the horse trailer, Hunter was mesmerized by the train room that Josh had built.

Hitchin' A Ride

Although Jackie & Mia seemed quite happy, I'm thinking Princesses Leigh and Lu got the better end of this deal.

Learn Like An Egyptian

We had the honor of being invited to our buddies' Egyptian presentation this weekend. Here we see Pharoah and his main squeeze practicing their tango before the show.

The kids presented the wealth of information they had learned about Egypt with great polish and stage presence. 

NC Botanical Gardens

The TK Cubs had their first field trip today, a visit to the NC 

Botanical Gardens.

Although she feigned interest while she had to, I sensed that Leigh would have rather been at the Apple Store.

School Days

I don't know what's up with this, but the kids are all about posing for pictures in the morning before school. Go figure.
